As Jean says yesterday was quite breathtaking with big shout-out for Dave who drove superbly over the Apache Trail which is 22 miles of twisting tortuous rutted unmade road.
It took over 2 hours but afforded memorable sweeping views at every turn.
Earlier interest, for me at any rate, was running parallel for some time to the Tucson-Phoenix railway line and spotting a huge base full of mothballed aircraft.
Lovely pizza last night in Cottonwood, our base for the next two days and the motel (Quality Inn) has an excellent pool.
