Coyotes Calling - 19th October

Dave writes:

Coyotes calling over the valley  again just before dawn so getting quite familiar especially after seeing a couple at the desert venue yesterday, albeit behind fencing.

Another spotted on the track on the drive home.

Made friends at the venue with large beaver via  viewing area beneath the water. He kept swimming up and nosing against the glass.

Most dramatic and beautiful sunset captured brilliantly by Jean. Can Grand Canyon live up to it I wonder !?

More prosaically my ice cream piled high in a cornet back at the desert venue was the biggest I've ever encountered in my three score years and ten. Must have been six inches high - but I battled bravely through it.

Must remember though not to ask for anything large in the States.

More superb biking with hills and mountains as backdrop set for rest of stay here in Tucson. Miles of dedicated cycle tracks (a la Netherlands) make for great riding.

15-minute dip in pool (74F) is acting as excellent prelude each day !

  2. It all sounds wonderful, with great sights, walks and bike rides. Our Florida friends would regard a pool temperature of 74 as far too cold to even dip their toes.

  3. Our friends here also regard current temperatures as being rather cool, although Dave S has joined Dave T in there.
